Doing and Donating

Doing and Donating

At Versuni, we believe in making a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve and communities in which we operate. Our purpose is to turn houses into homes for many. By 2027, we aim to transform 50,000 households through our "do or donate" initiative.

In 2023, we launched an internal challenge centered around our core mission of turning houses into homes for the many. Colleagues were encouraged to nominate individuals, families, or charitable causes where we could make a meaningful difference. After rigorous online voting and selection by a jury, we identified the finalists.

Our employees played a crucial role in bringing these projects to life, utilizing our 5 days of volunteering that all employees have at their disposal. Through dedicated volunteer efforts and a materials budget, they contributed to creating warm, welcoming homes those in need. One notable example is below outstanding contribution to the Jakarta Community Centre in Indonesia, which brought smiles to children's faces. This initiative marks the first step in our broader efforts to help turn houses into homes for the many, reflecting our commitment to social sustainability and community welfare.

Accelerating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Accelerating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

As part of our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), we're proud to announce that within our sustainability strategy, we're aiming for 40% of our leadership team to comprise individuals identifying as women by 2027. This represents the initial step in our broader DEI roadmap, which we're developing based on the invaluable input of our employees and colleagues.

While we currently meet this target within our overall leadership, we recognize the need for improvement, as women represent just above 30% of our Functional and Business leaders. The appointment of Veronique Pauwels as our first female CEO in domestic appliances marks a significant milestone.

However, DEI is about more than gender equality. We recognize the importance of inclusivity across various dimensions. To address progress on this topic we have established a cross-functional workstream tackling DEI topics within our organization. This workstream includes people champions from across regions to ensure that all perspectives are captured.

Additionally, we are implementing unconscious bias training for all employees and leaders to help us recognize and address our own biases. This comprehensive approach helps us foster a truly inclusive workplace over time.
